SCHOOL "14.OKTOBAR" GETS A VAN

Primary and secondary education school "14.OKTOBAR", which successfully works on the territory of Palilula, got the van to transport students. The vehicle was purchased from donor funds collected on the second St Sava Bal- Svetosavksi bal, at the initiative of the architect mr Ivan Redi, who has been living and working for many years in Graz (Austria).At a ceremony, about school activities, cooperation with the municipality of Palilula, humanitarian activities and donation organizer of "Svetosavski Bal" were present: Zoran Nikolic, defectologist, director of "14.OKTOBAR" in Nis, Boban DŽUNIĆ, President of Palilula-Nis, Mr. Ivan Redi, the architect, the initiator of the award of grants and the organization "Svetosavski Bal".

I want to express my great pleasure that now we are promoting the results of successful charity activities and donations of our fellow citizens of Nis that are expresses on this second St Sava Bal.
School "14 Oktobar " thanks to the funds, got a van, which is necessary for the achievement of the educational process and improving the mental and physical condition of children with disabilities, said Boban Džunić, president of Palilula Municipality. He thanked Ivan Redi for his personal contribution and initiative to help this institution, as well as the Student Cultural Center and their director Misa Jovic. "You know that this school is for primary and secondary education." 14 Oktobar " and it is one of two schools in Nis - Palilula teritory, which are helping to improve conditions for the education and rehabilitation of young people with mild and moderate disabilities in mental development, as well as children with so-called Down syndrome and autism.

Under the motto "We're better together" at the "Grand" Hotel on February 1, 2014, we organized another charity donation St Sava bal. According to Zoran Nikolic, director of the School of Elementary and Secondary Education, "14 Oktobar" this institution since 1972, has a purpose-built facility on an area of 2500 square meters. The building consists of nine classrooms, four workshops, hairdressing salon, two classrooms for classes, gyms, rooms for extended stays, dining and all facilities necessary for the work of experts (speech therapists, social workers and psychologists) and administrative staff. Children are available to play in the school yard grass field and paved playground. At school, there and do lots of sports, cultural and other groups, as well as the Students Cooperative called ' Our hope ''

Defectologists of our school - stresses director Nikolić, dealing with technical issues and improving teaching in Professional groups at school and within the Company's special education teacher. Elementary school was attended by 90 students in 15 departments. Patronage includes two students. Secondary school has 70 students in 12 classes.
